enteteThe Quebec Metropolis Centre—Immigration and Metropolis (QMC—IM) is an interuniversity research consortium consisting of six Quebec universities: the Institut national de la recherche scientifique – Urbanisation, Culture et Société; HEC Montréal; Concordia University; McGill University; Université de Montréal; and Université de Sherbrooke.

QMC-IM is one of the five Canadian Metropolis centres of excellence supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and a consortium of federal partners within the framework of the national and international Metropolis Project. The Centre’s mandate is to foster improved coordination of immigration and integration research with the needs of public policy and stakeholders.

Co-coordinator of Domain 5, François Crépeau is Professor of Law at the Faculty of Law of McGill University.

Valérie Amiraux
Co-coordinator of Domain 5, Valérie Amiraux is Professor of Sociology at Université de Montréal. She holds the Canada Research Chair in Religious Pluralism and Ethnicity, CEETUM.
