
Idil Atak is a postdoctoral researcher at Université du Québec à Montréal’s Chaire de recherche en immigration, ethnicité et citoyenneté (CRIEC) and at Centre de Recherche en Droit Public (CRDP) of the Université de Montréal. She is a research associate at Hans & Tamar Oppenheimer Chair in Public International Law, McGill University. Idil holds a doctoral degree in international human rights law. She is a seasonal lecturer at the Université de Montréal’s Law Faculty where she teaches international law of migration and refugees, foundation of public law and methodology of law and research. Idil worked for the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a legal expert in Ankara , then in Strasbourg as a deputy to the Permanent Representative of Turkey to the Council of Europe.
